We pick up from Cairns accommodation at 5.00pm and transfer to TAKA II. The vessel then travels overnight heading north inside the Great Barrier Reef,Australia, arriving at the Cod Hole the next morning.

We start diving at the Cod Hole where huge schools of fish and Maori Wrasse compete with the large family of Giant Potato Cod for a fish dinner. Early morning on day three, TAKA II arrives at Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea. There are four dives in this location including the exciting shark feed at North Horn and stunning wall dives with large Gorgonian fan corals and huge pelagics. The visibility in the Coral Sea is 30 metres plus!

Over the next two days we are diving on the Ribbon Reefs of the Great Barrier Reef, which are spectacular with a great diversity of marine life, giant clams and coral gardens. Two night dives are included in this trip, and TAKA II arrives back into Cairns at approximately 3.30pm on Tuesday.

What is supplied

• All linen including towels.
• Pick up and return to Cairns accommodation.
• Tanks and weights.
• All meals from dinner on the day of departure to lunch on the last day are included. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available from the bar.
• An Enviromental Management Charge placed by the Australian Government on visitors to the Great Barrier Reef of $15 is not included in any of the above prices and is payable on board the vessel.
• Depending on weather, travelling to Osprey can be rough ocassionally. We recommend bringing motion sickness pills with you.
