All open water students will have to take a medical in accordance with australian standards 4005.1 A medical from a doctor in another country will most likely not be acceptable. Your certifiying dive shop will provide the opportunity to complete the physical as part of the course. The cost of the physical is approximately $44 Australian, and is in addition to the cost of the certification course.
